A first for KEM – yesterday 6 of us were able to marshal a British Masters Cycle Racing event, as a result of changes in the approach of several insurers. Dulwich Paragon organised an event consisting of three races starting from Bletchingley, round a ten mile circuit with many twists and a couple of steep hills. Each race was assigned 2 Motos, and we were able to assist in warning of hazards, and announcing the oncoming peloton to the static marshals.
Our efforts were appreciated enough for us to be booked for next year, and we had two approaches from other clubs who may wish to use our services next year. Good result!
